Kai Sotto is settling in with his new team in the Japan B.League Division 1: the Koshigaya Alphas.

Sotto arrived back in Japan last week and was welcomed by the Alphas, his third team in Japan after the Hiroshima Dragonflies and the Yokohama B-Corsairs.

Following his arrival, Kai has been busy with the team already participating in workouts and a private practice match with the Fukushima Firebonds.

Kai also got his Media Day photos, and he seems quite jolly to say the least.

The 7’3” Filipino center signed with Koshigaya following a career-year in Japan where he averaged 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks with the B-Corsairs.

With the Alphas, Sotto joins a team that will make their B1 debut following their promotion from the B2 last year. Koshigaya made the jump by finishing in second place in the second division.

Koshigaya will open the season on the road against Alvark Tokyo on October 5, while the Alphas first home game as a B1 team will come the next week on October 12 vs. the Ryukyu Golden Kings.
