Two of the hottest teams collide this UAAP Season 87 Saturday.

The surging DLSU Green Spikers hope to end the no. 1 FEU Tamaraws’ unbeaten start in their men’s volleyball showdown, Saturday, March 15, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

La Salle is riding a three-game winning streak and the Taft-based squad is the latest in line in attempting to stain the Tamaraws’ spotless card.

Noel Kampton came out blazing hot with a 27-point scoring barrage to lift the Green Spikers past rivals Ateneo in their last outing.

It was La Salle’s third straight head-to-head win over the Blue Eagles, but more importantly, it gave DLSU a share of the third spot with the UST Golden Spikers at 4-2.

“Super motivated to win today kasi we’re fighting for our pride, school pride na ito ‘eh. Sobrang big morale boost din nito kasi we beat our rival school,” Kampton bared in the post-game press conference.

Rui Ventura chipped 13 points as Vince Maglinao added seven markers, six excellent receptions, and four excellent digs.

“Proud ako kasi nagawa namin 'yung plano namin and at the same time, lahat ng pagbubuhos namin ng panahon, somehow ito 'yung naging resulta. Ito naman 'yung goal namin for now bago matapos 'yung last game ng first round, we see to it na magawa at masulit namin 'yung kundisyon namin,” La Salle head coach Jose Roque said.

Serving time is at 11:00 a.m.
