Another day, another chance to get that elusive first win.

The UE Red Warriors look to close out their UAAP Season 87 opening round campaign on a high, squaring off with the Ateneo Blue eagles in the men’s volleyball tournament, Saturday, March 15, 9:00 a.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

Holding a measly 0-6 card, UE has yet to barge into the win column.

The Red Warriors dropped their sixth straight defeat and 13th straight overall dating back to Season 86 second round with another loss --- this time to the DLSU Green Spikers.

Roy Piojo poured 10 points to tow UE’s offense while rookie Raquim Aceron had nine points on top of 11 receptions, and five digs.

It has been 17 years since the Red Warriors registered a win over Ateneo way back in Season 70 (2008).
