Kai Sotto continues his surge back in Japan’s B.LEAGUE following his latest stint with Gilas Pilipinas.
Sotto tied his career-high in rebounds Sunday, going for 25 points and 18 rebounds as the Koshigaya Alphas protected home court with a big 100-74 win over the Kawasaki Brave Thunders.
It was Koshigaya’s third-straight win, improving to 6-12 in the Eastern Conference.
Since the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers, Sotto has been on a tear, scoring at least 20 points in three of his last four games in Japan.
The only lull was a six-point outing in Saturday’s win against the Brave Thunders, but Sotto only played 16 minutes in a rousing 101-77 victory.
Through 17 games this season, Sotto is averaging career-highs of 13.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. He’s also going for 1.2 blocks per game.
