Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs picked up steam in the fourth quarter as they trumped Matthew Wright’s Kawasaki Brave Thunders, 74-63, in the 2024-25 B.LEAGUE season at the Yokohama International Pool on Wednesday.

The home team outscored Kawasaki, 28-11, to pull away against their foes after heading into the final period behind by six, 46-52.

Ravena played 28 minutes but managed just four points on 2-of-7 shooting. He also had two rebounds, and one assist.

Damien Inglis did the heavy lifting for Yokohama with 29 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. More importantly, Inglis was efficient from the field with a 10-of-14 shooting clip.

Meanwhile, Wright also struggled from the field going 2-of-10 to finish with five points, three rebounds, and five assists.

Alize Johnson paced Kawasaki with a double-double of 19 points, and 12 rebounds.

Yokohama improved to 13-20 for the year while the Brave Thunders saw their three-game win streak snapped and are at 10-23.

Elsewhere, the Nagasaki Velca snapped a 7-game losing streak as they drubbed the Shiga Lakes, 101-89.

AJ Edu, Nagasaki’s Filipino import, chipped in five points, one rebound, one assist, and two blocks in the victory which helped them improve to 14-19 for the season.

Jarrell Brantley paced Nagasaki in the victory with his 23 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists.

Yudai Baba added 22 points, two rebounds, and eight assists.
