The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles continued its best campaign so far in franchise history after securing its 4th win in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles continued their best start in their young franchise history after an impressive four-set victory over the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Fresh off their straight set win over the Capital1 Solar Spikers, the Thunderbelles powered past the Crossovers to secure its 4th win in the conference.
Despite faltering in the third set, ZUS Coffee regained its composure to give itself enough cushion over the error-prone Chery Tiggo.
Ahead 22-17, Chinnie Arroyo and Jovelyn Gonzaga closed the game out for the Thunderbelles, fending off the Crossovers’ late-game comeback.
Team captain Cloanne Mondoñedo set up her squad’s win with 17 excellent sets.
ZUS Coffee now improves to a 4-4 record and jumped one spot to seventh place in the standings. Meanwhile, Chery Tiggo slipped to sixth place with a 5-4 record.
The Thunderbelles will go for their third-straight win against the league-leading Petro Gazz Angels on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
