Bryan Bagunas remains focused on his recovery from injury, aiming to rejoin Alas Pilipinas for the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship.
With just months to go before the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship, Bryan Bagunas remains focused on his recovery from his knee injury sustained during the 2024 Men’s Southeast Asia V.League.
The 27-year-old spiker suffered the injury after a jump serve attempt in the Philippines’ four-set loss to Indonesia last August.
Months since the injury, Bagunas, named as an ambassador for the global tilt, said that he has been on track with his recovery.
Siguro by this month, back to jumping exercise,” Bagunas shared to reporters during the press launch of the world championships.
Despite the setback, the Cignal HD Spikers superstar is optimistic about joining Alas Pilipinas for the historic tournament.

Adding to his motivation is his growing family, with Bagunas expecting his first child soon.
“‘Yun ‘yung pinaka gusto kong mangyari kasi isang malaking karangalan ‘yung nire-represent mo ‘yung bansa,” he added.
As he works his way back to full strength, Bagunas is also keeping his emotions in check, focusing on teamwork and preparation.
