The Akari Chargers would not be denied this time, pulling all the stops to frustrate the Farm Fresh Foxies to become the fifth team to nab a quarterfinal seat in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Akari Chargers became the latest team to punch a playoff ticket after a gritty 25-11, 23-25,18-25, 25-21,15-9 escape over the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference qualifying round at the PhilSports Arena in PasigTuesday, March 4.
Akari raced to 4-0 start in fifth set before eventually holding off the fiesty Foxies in a gritty five-setter encounter where Ivy Lacsina earned the Player of the Game honors behind a stellar 22-point outing built on 21 attacks and one block.
The Chargers joins defending champion and top seed Creamline, second-ranked Petro Gazz, no. 5 Choco Mucho, and 10th-seeded Galeries tower in the quarterfinal round.
It also served as a measure of revenge for last Reinforce Conference’s finalists after absorbing a straight-defeat against the Foxies in their preliminary showdown.

Meanwhile, the loss relegated Farm Fresh to the play-in tournament alongside Nxled, Cignal, Capital1 and Chery Tiggo where two playoff berths are at stake.
