The Philippines is set to host the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship 2025 from September 12 to 28, marking a historic moment for the country’s volleyball scene.

To help promote the event, Alas Pilipinas standouts Eya Laure and Bryan Bagunas have been named as official ambassadors, while indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben will serve as the tournament’s official music partner.

Led by PNVF President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, the tournament’s official launch was held on Tuesday at The Vault in BGC, Taguig, kicking off a six-month countdown before the global volleyball showdown.

As ambassadors, Laure and Bagunas will take part in a series of promotional activities both locally and internationally, helping build excitement for the tournament, which will feature 32 of the world’s top men's teams.

"It’s such an honor to be an ambassador for this event," Laure said during the press launch. "We used to dream of competing against international teams, but now, the best of the best are coming here. I hope everyone supports Alas Pilipinas Men in this historic moment."

Bagunas echoed the same enthusiasm, emphasizing the significance of this event for Philippine volleyball.

"This is a huge opportunity for men’s volleyball in the Philippines. We’ll get to showcase our talent to the world and learn from the best teams," he said.

Meanwhile, Ben&Ben will add a musical touch to the championship, with their song "Triumph" serving as the official anthem leading up to the event.

Originally released last year as part of their third album, "The Traveller Across Dimensions," the song embodies the energy and passion of the sport.

"We are very proud and happy to be the music partner of the Volleyball Men’s World Championship," said band member Miguel Benjamin. "‘Triumph’ perfectly captures the passion, love, and drive of both the sport and its community."

The PNVF has lined up a series of activities to promote the championship, including an International Road Show, Mascot Contest and Launch, Trophy Tour, Media Broadcast Conference, Team Managers Meeting, Test Event, and a special 100-Day Countdown in June.

This will be the first time the Philippines hosts the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship and only its second-ever appearance in the tournament since its 1974 debut in Mexico.
