Trae Young broke the hearts of the Detroit fans, thanks to a cold-blooded game-winner. On the same night, Jalen Brunson registered his first-career 40-point, 10-assist game, while the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers stayed on point.

  • Washington Wizards (8-41) def. Charlotte Hornets (12-35), 124-114: After ending a 16-game losing skid, the Wizards won back-to-back games for the first time since October , sending the Hornets reeling to a fifth straight loss. 

  • New York Knicks (33-17) def. Houston Rockets (25-25), 124-118: Jalen Brunson erupted for 17 of his 42 points in the final frame, as the Knicks wiped out a 11-point deficit late to frustrate the Rockets.

  • Memphis Grizzlies (34-16) def. San Antonio Spurs (21-26), 128-109: Jaren Jackson Jr.'s 31-point effort kept the Grizzlies’ winning stride intact, thanks to a dominating home win against the visiting Spurs.

  • Golden State Warriors (25-24) def. Orlando Magic (24-27), 104-99: Stephen Curry topscored the Warriors with 24 points for the team’s third win in the last four games, this time holding off the visiting Magic. 


KINGS WIN FIRST GAME SINCE FOX TRADE; NUGGETS, PACERS STAY HOT 

  • Sacramento Kings (25-24) def. Minnesota Timberwolves (27-23), 116-114: The Kings opened the post-De’Aaron Fox era with a close call over the Timberwolves for a bounce-back win. 

  • Leave it to DeeBo: DeMar Derozan went off with a 33-point outing, connecting on key baskets late as the Kings had every answer to the Timberwolves’ run late. 

  • OKC Thunder (39-9) def. Milwaukee Bucks (26-22), 125-96: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s fast start fueled a 29-point Thunder rout of the undermanned Bucks in their first meeting since the NBA Cup Finals.

  • Denver Nuggets (31-19) def. San Antonio Spurs (12-38), 125-113: Nikola Jokic posted a league-leading 23rd triple-double to anchor the Nuggets and spoil Trey Murphy’s career-night for the Pelicans. 

  • Mile-High MPJ: Besides Jokic’ all-around outing, Michael Porter Jr. uncorked a season high 36-point outing built on seven threes for the Nuggets third’ straight win. 

  • Indiana Pacers (28-20) def. Utah Jazz (11-37), 112-111: The Pacers rolled to a fourth straight win after a close call against the lowly Jazz. 

  • Portland Trail Blazers (21-29) def. Phoenix Suns (25-24), 121-119: Deandre Ayton’s monster 20-20 game helped the Trail Blazers spoiled Devin Booker’s historic night and the Suns in an overtime thriller.
