The 2024-25 EASL season comes down to an exciting finale between the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots and Hiroshima Dragonflies in Macau.
MACAU—The stage is set for an epic finale for the EASL 2025 championship as the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots take on the Hiroshima Dragonflies in a battle for regional supremacy at the Studio City Event Center here on Sunday, March 9.
The Pilots enter the title game riding the momentum of a historic 71-64 victory over the Ryukyu Golden Kings last March 7—their first-ever win against a B.LEAGUE squad, which also made them the first Taiwanese team to make the EASL Finals.

However, the Pilots now face a familiar and formidable foe in the Dragonflies, a team that has had their number all season.
In two previous Group A meetings, Hiroshima bested the Taoyuan both times. Hiroshima first stunned Taoyuan on its home court with an 84-73 victory on Christmas Day, knocking the Pilots from the top of the standings.
Then, last Jan. 22, the Dragonflies eked out a thrilling 95-92 win in Hiroshima, completing the regular season sweep.
Now, Taoyuan hopes that third time’s the charm, with a championship proving to be another win for Taiwanese basketball.
Hiroshima, on the other hand, is looking to extend the B.LEAGUE's dominance in the EASL.
Last season, the Chiba Jets cruised to the EASL crown with a perfect record, and the Dragonflies hope to follow in their footsteps to make Japan the winningest team in league history.
