BINI Aiah Arceta and Rain or Shine’s Caelan Tiongson spoke up regarding hate comments, after the P-pop idol was spotted twice in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup semifinals.
BINI Aiah Arceta and Rain or Shine forward Caelan Tiongson have spoken up on hate comments, following online speculations linked them in recent days.
Arceta watched two games of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup semifinals between the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the TNT Tropang Giga. Some posts have speculated about the pop star's connection with Tiongson.
Aiah addressed the matter in a long post on X (formerly known as Twitter), urging fans to practice kindness and avoid jumping to conclusions.
“I am aware of what has been happening lately, and honestly, it’s interesting to see how it has become such a big deal for some, along with the multiple theories circulating about it,” she wrote. “It’s also fascinating to observe how quickly noise can grow and how many people can misunderstand so many things.”
The P-pop idol expressed disappointment over the negativity directed at people close to her, emphasizing that those who bring her happiness and support her do not deserve to be ridiculed.
“My friends have been such a great help to me, especially lately, and I think they don’t deserve the hate. There are so many sides and truths that people don’t see, and I just hope we can all be kind to one another because kindness is free, and we all need it.”
Meanwhile, Tiongson echoed similar sentiments in an Instagram Story, brushing off the speculationwhile calling out the negativity. He wrote on his bio that he is a mental health advocate.
“Praying for all those who spread hateful comments this morning. If you’d like to throw it my way, that’s fine! But family, friends, and teammates are undeserving of it,” he wrote.

The Rain or Shine forward had previously acknowledged in an interview with One Sports that he knew Aiah, but kept details to a minimum. It has been reported that the two likely knew each other in church.
“I met her through a mutual friend and she’s a great person, but I’m not gonna speak about her personal life anymore than that," he said.
“She’s a great person and that’s all I gotta say.”
Aiah was seen at the Araneta Coliseum on March 5, watching Rain or Shine’s Game 4 loss to TNT—a week after her presence in Game 2 at the PhilSports Arena sparked rumors about her and Tiongson.
Tiongson, meanwhile, watched BINI's Grand BINIverse concert at the Philippine Arena.
