The UST Golden Tigresses coasted to a three-set win for the first time in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball.
Make that five straight wins for University of Santo Tomas.
The Golden Tigresses nabbed their first sweep of the season as they drubbed Ateneo, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21, in the UAAP women's volleyball at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Sunday, March 9.
UST played its best against the Blue Eagles and look to sustain its form ahead of its rematch against National University, who beat the Espana-based squad in the Finals last year.

The Tigresses doused Ateneo's fightback in Set 2 and 3, where an injury-hit Blue Eagles tried to go toe-to-toe with them.
The Blue Eagles' Sobe Buena went down with an apparent injury in Set 1. She was stretchered off the court and did not return.
Angge Poyos led UST in scoring, finishing with 19 points on 16 attacks, two blocks and an ace with five excellent receptions to boot.
Reg Jurado added 14 markers while Pia Abbu ended up with 13, highlighted by five block
Meanwhile, AC Miner topscored with 13 points while Lyann De Guzman had 11 for Ateneo, which fell to 1-4.
The Tigresses will enjoy a week-long break before locking horns with the Lady Bulldogs in their last game of the first round.
