On Sunday, February 5, Kiefer Ravena reached a career milestone after hitting his 1,000th point in the Japan B.League. It happened when he posted 15 points to help the Shiga Lakes beat San-En NeoPhoenix, the squad where his younger brother Thirdy plays for.

The 87-79 win snapped Shiga’s 18-game losing streak, added another chapter to the Ravena brothers’ head-to-head history in the B. League, and marked an important moment in Kiefer’s international basketball career. His team made sure their Asian import’s huge accomplishment wouldn’t go unnoticed.

Across their social media, the Shiga Lakes celebrated the Filipino bucket-getter’s immense contribution to the team.

Now, the two Ravenas have both broken the 1,000 point-barrier in the B.League. Thirdy accomplished the feat a month ago, but he had a good head start as he suited up for San-En earlier than his bro did for Shiga.

Manong Kiefer first took his talents to Japan in 2021. In his debut season with the Lakes, he averaged 13.2 points through 56 games. Currently, the elder of the Ravena siblings, is hitting 10.2 points per contest. While his team is saddled with a lowly 5-31 win-loss record, the impressive win over San-En and his latest achievement might just inspire the Shiga Lakes to go on a spirited run in the coming games.
