The Meralco Bolts have signed up a third import in 30-year-old American power forward Shonn Miller, replacing Zach Lofton as reinforcement for the PBA Commissioner's Cup and the East Asia Super League (EASL).

The PBA confirmed the switch on Saturday, ahead of the Bolts' Iloilo game against the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots at 6:30 p.m.

The Cleveland, Ohio-born Miller played for Cornell and the University of Connecticut. He went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft but suited up for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League before plying his trade in Mexico, Italy, Greece, and Germany.

The shift comes just a few days after Zach Lofton dropped 20 points for the Bolts in a losing effort against the visiting New Taipei Kings in the EASL.

He memorably made 54 points in his debut for the Bolts against the NorthPort Batang Pier.

Lofton was picking up the reins from Suleiman Braimoh, who went down with an apparent injury last month against the NLEX Road Warriors.

He made sure to share the love.

"Thank you for the love and support. I truly wish I could be out there fighting and trying to win that championship for you. But I still have full faith in this team and I'm here to support all the way," he wrote in a message posted by the Bolts.

Meralco, sitting in third place at 6-2, will challenge league-leading team Magnolia this Saturday in the University of San Agustin gym, Iloilo. It will be aired on CNN Philippines, PBA Rush, and the Pilipinas Live app.
