The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters will come into the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals with all the momentum on their side following a remarkable six-game winning streak to end the elimination round.

But while the turnaround from 0-5 was truly commendable, ROS is only the no. 7 seed in the playoffs, and will need to beat the no. 2 team twice to advance.

Still, a defiant coach Yeng Guiao is liking his team's chances for an upset.

"Maganda naman 'yung assesment ng chances namin. We're coming off a six [game] win streak. Ang importante lang 'yung improve namin 'yung mga execution namin, offense and defense," Guiao said, as the Elasto Painters complete the turnaround with a close call over Converge Sunday.

The team will certainly need all the confidence and improvement as they can get, as they didn't beat Phoenix or San Miguel in the elimination round, their two prospective opponents in round 1.

A key that could sway the tide in Rain or Shine's favor though is import Tree Treadwell, who has impressed as the team's replacement import.

"Marami nang nag-iba. 'Yung import namin nag-iba na rin, pero ang tingin ko marami pa kami pwede i-improve," said Guiao. "Inconsistent 'yung free throw shooting namin. Kanina marami kaming turnovers, marami kaming mga masamang desisyon."

"Pagdating ng playoffs, magkakatalo 'yan mga one or two possessions lang," he added.

The reinvigorated Elasto Painters could prove to be the toughest out in the playoffs.
