Tension arose just as San Miguel secured the Game 2 victory over Magnolia.
It seems like the white flag would not be raised anytime soon as the off-court conflict between Magnolia forward Calvin Abueva and the wife of San Miguel's Mo Tautuaa spilled on to social media.
Not long after the Beermen seized a 2-0 lead over the Chicken Timplados Hotshots in their best-of-seven clash for the PBA Season 48 Commissioner's Cup trophy, Abueva and Tautuaa's wife, Aida, figured in a tension-filled shouting exchange at the hallway of the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday night.
Abueva's own wife, Sam, got involved in the verbal tussle later on.
Tautuaa's partner immediately took to X to explain her side and turned to her Instagram stories to share more.

She described Abueva as "unhinged" and "unstable" and mentioned how it "was not okay" for him to still be "allowed around people."
"Calvin is unhinged. He literally just got in my face while I was walking to the bathroom after the game. How is someone this unstable still allowed to be around people!!! That was not okay!!!" Aida posted.
In a separate story, she noted how she actually supported him in his reinstation in the league, believing that "everyone deserves second chances" but added that "he clearly did not change."
"He is not mentally stable. when the PBA allowed him to play again, I was actually rooting for him and said that everyone deserves second chances. He clearly did not change," she said.
Abueva was slapped with an indefinite suspension in June 2019 following a verbal altercation with Ray Parks then' girlfriend, and for clotheslining former TNT import Terrence Jones.
The ban was lifted 16 months later.
Tautuaa's wife also pointed out how there was "absolutely no reason" for him to come to the San Miguel dugout as Magnolia's locker room was on the opposite side of the venue.
Abueva, meanwhile, also posted on his Instagram story, saying that he might be called to appear in Sen. Raffy Tulfo's show.
Tulfo hosts "Raffy Tulfo in Action" which aims to address or resolve problems of guests.
"Baka ma-Tulfo pa ako niyan," posted Abueva.
Though it was not clear whether Abueva was pertaining to the fracas.
