On Wednesday, the San Miguel Beermen frustrated the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots in a thrilling 104-102 victory in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals for their 29th PBA title.

Rookie Kyt Jimenez got emotional, as he recalled how he waited for nine rounds before he was selected 76th overall out of 124 draft aspirants.
It wasn’t easy for Kyt, as he absorbed criticism online and experienced what it was like getting benched. When he managed to step on the court for the first time, he got a nose fracture.

Who’s laughing now?
Another first-timer is Jeron Teng.
He may come from a family of basketball players, especially with a decorated Beerman such as Alvin Teng for a father, but there's nothing like having your own title.

“The first one is always special,” he posted.
Don Trollano may be new to the champion squad, but this “quiet guy” is loud on statistics.
He has definitely proven his worth for the Beermen.
