Ginebra braces for retaliation from Meralco as it looks to end PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup semifinals series in Game 6 on Wednesday, May 29.
Christian Standhardinger is under no illusion that wrapping up the PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup semifinals is going to be a breeze from now on.
This was after the Gin Kings got on the hill following a come-from-behind 89-84 decision in Game 5 of the classic series between the modern playoff rivals on Sunday, May 26.
“It’s going to be a very big challenge. Nothing is done yet. This win doesn’t mean [anything] yet. We need to win the series. That’s the goal,” said Standhardinger, who finished with 34 points and 10 rebounds in the win at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Game Six tips off at 7:30pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, May 29, with the Gin Kings holding a precarious 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Standhardinger has faced the Bolts in the post-season long enough to enough to know a retaliation is imminent.
He is particularly bracing for a fightback from Chris Newsome and Cliff Hodge, who can both affect the game without scoring.
“It will be tough. Newsome and Cliff, those guys are winners. I have a lot of respect for these men,” he said.
“We need to just come out there and try to match the intensity as good as possible."
