Pure domination.

This was how legendary PBA import Sean Chambers described San Miguel Beermen superstar June Mar Fajardo, who has collected seven Most Valuable Player awards so far.

Chambers said this in an Instagram post on Saturday, June 22, where he posed for a picture with the 10-time PBA champion in one of Gilas Pilipinas’ practices at the Inspire Sports Academy in Laguna.

Everyone knows Chambers, winner of a Grand Slam as an import for Alaska in 1996, is not exaggerating.

Fajardo is coming off another dominant season that saw him lead the Beermen to a championship and a runner-up finish in the Commissioner’s Cup and Philippine Cup, respectively.

In the season-ending All-Filipino conference, the 6-foot-10 gentle giant also copped his 10th Best Player of the Conference plum.

Since joining the league in 2012, the now 34-year-old has left opposing teams searching for answers on how to stop him.

“It’s a joy to watch this kid play basketball. Arguably the most dominant center to ever play in the PBA,” said Chambers.

Shortly after the PBA’s 48th season, Fajardo already joined Gilas as it gears up for the Olympic Qualifying tournament in Latvia from July 2 to 7.

Chambers, meanwhile, appears to be tapped by the national team to help in the short buildup for the tournament where a lone Paris Olympics berth is at stake.

“I am truly privileged and honored to have the chance to collaborate with some of the leading figures of Philippine basketball,” he said in a separate post with SBP president Al Panlilio, executive director Erika Dy, and GIlas head coach Tim Cone.

“The three individuals at the center of this picture are undoubtedly some of the most influential and powerful people in the Philippines in relation to the basketball National teams and I’m looking forward to working closely with them on the men’s and women’s side.”
