The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters will go for 4-0 while Barangay Ginebra San Miguel try to keep it going in separate games in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup on Friday, August 30.

The Elasto Painters look to sustain their fiery start against the beleaguered Phoenix Fuel Masters in the opener of the double-header at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The match is set at 5 p.m.

Their latest triumph did not come easy, though.

Rain or Shine had to buck a slow start before picking the NLEX apart for the 124-105 win on Wednesday, August 28.

The Elasto Painters though, cannot afford to succumb to a sluggish start anew against the Fuel Masters, who have shown in the first two games they can claw back from seemingly insurmountable deficits.

Unlike Rain or Shine, the Fuel Masters are desperate to chalk up win no. 1 after dropping their first two outings in the import-spiced conference.

"Nagpasensiya lang kami. We just tried to recover from the shock. They were making all their threes, so medyo nakakabigla. Sabi namin, let's just weather the storm and play our game," said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao.

Meanwhile, Ginebra is looking to score a second straight dub after dropping the opener against Rain or Shine at the Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur.

But standing in their way are the Blackwater Bossing, who remain winless three games into its campaign.

The Bossing are bringing in George King for Cam Clark, who was initially supposed to replace Ricky Ledo.
