Before the ongoing PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup plunges into the playoffs, Stephen Holt will receive one more honor following a stellar rookie season with Terrafirma Dyip.

Holt will lead the All-Rookie team to be feted in the 30th PBA Press Corps Awards at the Novotel Manila Araneta City on September 24, 7:30pm.

Now playing for Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel, Holt steered the Dyip to a historic quarterfinal finish in Philippine Cup last season where they scored a win against eventual finalist San Miguel.

The 32-year-old St. Mary’s College product was eventually hailed PBA Rookie of the Year.

The no. 1 overall pick in last season’s PBA draft will also share the honors with former Dyip teammate Kemark Cariño, Rain or Shine’s Adrian Nocum, NorthPort’s Cade Flores, and Phoenix’s Kenneth Tuffin.

The event, presented by Cignal TV, will also see June Mar Fajardo receive his third Order of Merit award from the men and women covering the PBA beat.

The said honor is given to players with most Player of the Week nods during the season.

Meanwhile, Robert Bolick will be honored as Season 48’s Scoring Champion.

This is after Bolick averaged 25.3 points in just his first season for NLEX following a foiled Japan B.League stint.
