Robert Bolick, as always, is expected to take a major role when Game 3 between NLEX and TNT unfurls in the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals.
NLEX head coach Jong Uichico has no problem with Robert Bolick not getting his usual figures in the ongoing PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup quarterfinals.
It did not bother coach Jong when the newly-minted PBA Season 48 Scoring Champion put up a measly 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting in the Road Warriors’ 107-102 loss to TNT in Game 1 of the series.
“Robert is always important whether he scores or not,” said Uichico of his star point guard.

The sentiment held true, as even as Bolick still only scored 16 points in Game 2, he completed a crucial and-one play late in a 93-87 win for NLEX to level the best-of-five series to one game apiece.
Uichico later said the NLEX star’s presence alone is a big contribution for the Road Warriors.
His point could not be any truer.
Whether he is scoring in bunches or simply making plays for his teammates, teams will definitely not let up against Bolick.
After all, history suggests the former San Beda main man can explode any given night.
“If he can’t score he feeds, he directs the game, he directs the play,” Uichico said of Bolick.
“They need to scheme against him. Even his presence is so important already.”

Uichico and the rest of the Road Warriors expect the crafty playmaker to take the same major role when Game 3 unfurls on Sunday, September 29 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
“Regardless of the statistics he already has a big role for us. If he scores then that's a testament of him finding a way to help the team more,” the nine-time PBA champion coach said.
