Brgy. Ginebra eyes to regain its footing as it dukes it out with San Miguel in Game 3 of their PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup best-of-seven semifinal joust at the Dasmariñas City Arena in Cavite on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Action begins at 5 p.m.

The Gin Kings lost hold of its early edge in the series after the Beermen equalized via a pulsating 131-125 win in Game 2 last Friday, Oct. 11.

Despite strong individual performances from Justin Brownlee (39 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and four blocks), Japeth Aguilar (29 points and eight rebounds), Scottie Thompson (16 points) and Maverick Ahanmisi (15 points), Ginebra still fell short, unable to follow up on its strong 122-105 triumph in the series opener.

The Gin Kings will look to ramp up its defensive efforts, especially with coach Tim Cone noting the team’s defensive shortcomings against Terrence Romeo, who exploded for 22 of his 26 points in the final period and overtime, shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the three-point and four-point arcs combined.

Brownlee said that Ginebra should just remain positive and not beat itself up after the loss as the series is far from over.

While Brownlee delivered his usual numbers, Stephen Holt and rookie RJ Abarrientos are expected to regain their touch come Game 3.

Holt was held to 14 points after a 30-point explosion in Game 1 while Abarrientos only coughed up four points after a previous 13-point showing.
