Amores figured in a shooting incident in Laguna last September, stemming from a heated exchange in a street basketball game.
No one was hurt in the shooting, and Amores surrendered to the police the next day.
He was charged with attempted homicide for the act and posted a P24,000 bail.
Amores then appeared before PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial and reportedly apologized for his actions.
It was not the first time he figured in a physical altercation, as he was involved in at least two punching incidents in his collegiate days.
