Thanks to a controlled and masterful performance to win a second straight PBA Governors' Cup title, Jayson Castro is the PBA Finals MVP after TNT beat Ginebra in Game 6 Friday, November 8.

Castro is now a three-time Finals MVP, but this is the Blur's first time winning the award on his own. He was co-Finals MVP with Jimmy Alapag during TNT's title wins in the 2011 Philippine Cup and Commissioner's Cup.

The Blur averaged 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in the six-game series, including a 13-point, 6-assist outing in Game 6.

Castro was the most consistent local all series long for TNT, scoring at least nine points in all the games.

With his win, Castro joined Danny Ildefonso and Eric Menk as three-time PBA Finals MVPs. The record is four, held by June Mar Fajardo, Danny Seigle, LA Tenorio, and James Yap.

Out of TNT's 10 total PBA championships, Castro was on deck for nine of them. The Blur is also a five-time BPC, tied for second in PBA history.
