The San Miguel Beermen aim to continue their winning ways when they face the Blackwater Bossing Sunday in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.

San Miguel (2-2) is fresh off a commanding 106-88 victory over Terrafirma, marking the triumphant return of nine-time PBA champion coach Leo Austria on the sidelines.

The Beermen dominated behind their new import Torren Jones, who debuted with 24 points and 13 rebounds. He replaced Quincy Miller as the team’s reinforcement after a 1-2 start to the mid-season conference.

Eight-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo was also unstoppable for the defending champions, recording 21 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists, proving once again why he’s the cornerstone of San Miguel’s success.

Facing a Blackwater squad  (1-3) which is also coming off a win, San Miguel’s size and firepower will be key to securing a winning record nearly halfway through the elimination round.
