The Chery Tiggo Crossovers enter the PVL Christmas break on a positive note after prevailing over the Galeries Tower Highrisers for their fourth win in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers returned to the win column after pushing back the Galeries Tower Highrisers in five sets, 30-28, 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-8, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, December 14.
After dropping their previous match against the Akari Chargers, the Crossovers found a way to take down the Highrisers, who were dealt their 5th loss in the conference.
With the win, Chery Tiggo moved to solo 4th with a 4-2 record, while Galeries Tower dropped to 11th at 1-5.
In the fifth set, the Crossovers propelled themselves to an early 5-1 lead behind Cess Robles and Pauline Gaston.
The Highrisers tried to mount a comeback but errors hounded the team, allowing the Crossovers to take their largest lead in the frame at 12-5 after Shaya Adorador’s off-the-block hit.
Robles later sealed the win for Chery Tiggo after scoring the team’s last two points.
The former UAAP Finals MVP was hailed Player of the Game with 21 points on 20 attacks and one service ace.
Chery Tiggo and Galeries Tower will be back on January 21 as they face the Petro Gazz Angels and Cignal HD Spikers, respectively.
