George King and Sedrick Barefield were putting up impressive numbers so far, but it did not translate to much winning for the Blackwater Bossing.

King is averaging a superb 39-point outing in five games while Barefield logged four double-digit scoring games.

But the Bossing sat at 1-4 and are among the bottom three teams in the team standings.

And up against the TNT Tropang Giga, Blackwater needs to provide more support to their talented duo when the two teams headline the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup Thursday main event tonight, 7:30 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Bossing failed to sustain their 114-98 drubbing of the Meralco Bolts after losing against the San Miguel Beermen in their last outing.

Earlier, Blackwater dropped their first three games of the tournament against the Magnolia Hotshots, NLEX Road Warriors and guest team Eastern.

King has reached the 40-point scoring mark in four of their five games with Barefield averaging 21 markers but now is the time for other Blackwater locals to step up.

Can they score an upset over TNT to close 2024 on a high?
