Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has a great chance of winning the Best Import award for the third time in the PBA. This loved one will get to witness that.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will have an added motivation when TNT tackles Ginebra in Game 4 of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Friday, March 21.
Hollis-Jefferson bared that his mother would come over to watch him on Friday in time for the 7:30 p.m. match at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

RHJ is thrilled.
“My mom's coming Friday. It's her first time coming to see me play abroad,” said the two-time Best Import after the Tropang Giga's 87-85 win in Game 3 Wednesday, March 19.
“So, I'm looking forward to that. I'm really excited.”
This will be the first time his mother will see him play in the PBA where he has already won two PBA championships and a pair of Best Import plums as a resident TNT reinforcement.
“In person, it’s the first game she'll be able to see. Hopefully, we make her proud,” Hollis-Jefferson said of his mother, who is flying in from Philadelphia.

What will make the day even more special is the possibility of Hollis-Jefferson bagging the top recognition for reinforcements for the third time in a brief ceremony ushering in Game 4.
RHJ, however, said that more than gaining individual recognition, what is more important for him is winning for the team.

Doing so would give TNT a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
“She may see that (winning the award), and it'll make the moment more special. But it's not about the individual accolades. It's about the team win. Beause last year I won it, and we lost. So I would prefer to win the game,” he said.
