The GOAT debate has been settled.
While we have routinely referred to Alyssa Valdez as the GOAT of Philippine volleyball, the truth is that the Greatest of All Time title, in any sport, will always remain open for debate. But in the case of decorated setter Kim Fajardo, who currently stars for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the PVL, there’s already no doubt that she has already played with an undisputed GOAT.
OK, we’re really pulling your leg here. When we say Fajardo played with a GOAT, we’re actually referring to the actual farm animal. Yep, the former De La Salle Lady Spiker has a pet goat—a couple of them actually. On her Instagram, Fajardo is seen giving one of her babies a drink off an oversized feeding bottle. Another one is also shown eating a salad. Yes, a salad on a plate.
Aptly captioned “Bukid lyf,” the post gave us a glimpse of what Ate Kim does to relax when she’s at home in Calatagan, Batangas. There, Fajardo gets to enjoy a serene farm vibe, which she shares with her family and other farm creatures over, of course, videoke.
Fajardo’s F2 teammates couldn’t help but be fascinated by the wholesome post, especially because of the goats.
“Ate kimmyuhhh bet ko po yung kambing na dumedede,” Cargo Movers middle blocker Ivy Lacsina commented.
It seems like F2 libero Dawn Macandili also wants to pet the goats herself as she wrote, “Uwi mo yung kambenggggg.”
Jessma Ramos, on the other hand, may have revealed her issues with veggies as she said, “sanaol kumakain gulay hahahaha.”
Living the farm life may be a great way to recharge, and it appears captain Aby Maraño wants in, too. So, she simply said, “Haayyy.”
Perhaps Fajardo is just rebooting as F2 prepares to build on their impressive campaign in the PVL All-Filipino Conference. Getting their first podium finish in the league, the Cargo Movers will certainly enter the next tournaments with more confidence to go along with the desire to win it all.
