One more conference with the Cherry Bomb?
Coming into Tuesday's game, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans were riding on the momentum of beating the Petro Gazz Angels in five hard-fought sets.
But the ube girls were quickly brought down to earth after the Cignal HD Spikers clobbered Choco Mucho in straight sets for the last semifinals spot in Pool B.
Sisi Rondina was the lone Flying Titan in double digits with 14 points from 11 attacks, along with 13 excellent digs and 12 excellent receptions.
She would end up as the top scorer of the preliminaries with 104 points coming off 91 spikes, 8 blocks, and 5 aces.
After the match, Rondina posted a simple tweet—a purple heart.
This prompted fans to post their own appeals—to stay with Choco Mucho for at least one more conference.
The conference is not yet over for the Flying Titans though. They will still play in the classification match against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers on Saturday, July 22, to determine final team rankings.
