The High Speed Hitters got a massive confidence booster.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters snagged a much-needed first win in the PVL Invitational Conference at the expense of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
PLDT swept F2 Logistics, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 as the Cargo Movers fall to back-to-back losses.
Royse Tubino led the charge with 20 points, 18 coming off attacks.
For the veteran recruit playing for her first conference with PLDT, the breakthrough win is a confidence booster.
“High morale kasi first win namin sa semis,” Tubino said after the game.
“Siguro kami nag-e-enjoy lang kami during game.”
There’s plenty of room to improve for the High Speed Hitters and their next two games are essentially must-win if they want to advance to the championship game.
PLDT will next face the two guest teams from Japan and Vietnam.
“Focus lang kami sa sarili namin. Siguro more practice more tiyaga pa sa bawat isa, tyaga sa buong team,” Tubino said.
“Learning talaga ‘to. Bawat team malakas so kailangan namin mag-prepare, bawat training paghirapan natin.”
