Fans of the Akari Chargers are eager to watch Fifi Sharma in action in the PVL. But while the league won't resume until next month, Sharma has been busy with a different type of action.
The former De La Salle Lady Spikers star has enjoyed watching the FIBA World Cup live. She's been previously spotted at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum for Gilas Pilipinas games, and on Tuesday, she trooped to the Mall of Asia Arena to watch the quarterfinals matchup between USA and Italy.
On her Instagram Story, she posted a collage of photos and included the caption: "Basketball fan era???"
The talented middle blocker is not exactly new to basketball, as she's the daughter of former PBA player Carlo Sharma. But it looks like she's got the FIBA World Cup fever and found a new appreciation for hoops.
The hypothetical question she asked though might get a resounding "YES!" from Gilas Pilipinas center Kai Sotto.
Sharma and Sotto are rumored to be dating, with netizens frequently sharing snaps of their dates or hangouts or whatever Gen Zs call them these days. They even watched a PVL game together last month. Does that count as a soft launch? Situationship?
Safe to assume, Sotto, who just talked about his first stint in the FIBA World Cup, would definitely be all in on Sharma's basketball fan era. Watching a game live together would be a slam-dunk idea. Sorry.
Don't be surprised if you see them sitting beside each other in the stands in the remaining games in the FIBA World Cup.
