From blue and gold to maroon, Kamille Cal will soon be wearing black and green threads of the Nxled Chameleons, as the 22-year-old playmaker was announced to be the latest sign-up for the new PVL squad.

"I want to be that Kamille Cal na maaasahan ng team kapag nagkakagipitan na sa court. I want to be that Kamille Cal na pinagkakatiwalaan," she said in an Nxled post.

Cal started her collegiate career with the NU Lady Bulldogs but transferred to the UP Fighting Maroons. However, she told PVL that the ongoing overhaul of the program affected her progress.

She also had a short stint with the national volleyball team for the SEA V.League.

"It was really a challenging time for everyone, and trainings were postponed for about three months," Cal told the PVL.

"In the middle of it all, I was already feeling frustrated because three months of no training can significantly impact an athlete's progress."

Cal will be joining other Chameleons Dani Ravena, Cams Victoria, Lycha Ebon, Krich Macaslang, Chiara Permentilla, Rachel Jorvina, and Jho Maraguinot.

The sister squad of the Akari Chargers will join the PVL in the third conference of the season, another all-local edition.
