The Petro Gazz setter knows how to have fun even in training.
Petro Gazz Angels setter Djanel Cheng is a vibe.
Then again, PVL fans—especially Petro Gazz supporters—know that already.
And, on Thursday, Cheng only added to her good vibes lore, posting on Instagram Story a video of herself doing a unique—and funny—way to do pull-ups.
She even left an inspiring—well, sort of—message for her caption.
“In the world of ‘di ko kaya, be the one to say ay kaya pala,” Cheng wrote, “as long as may upuan sa ilalim.”
Take a look:
Of course, expect nothing less than good vibes and good laughs from Cheng, who once let her sister Des use her as weights for the latter’s own hilarious take on calf raises and played a leading role in former teammate MJ Phillips’ wacky “last day at work” video before leaving for South Korea.
But while Cheng is always up for a good laugh and some positive vibes, never let her cheerful demeanor fool you. At her core, the national team member is as competitive as they come—something she showed in last June’s AVC Cup Challenge, where she helped the Philippines turn back India with two massive blocks in the homestretch—plus an ace to seal the win.
She also loves the grind, even working out once in rainy weather while in the company of the opposition.
Regardless, Cheng just manages to radiate positive energy, be it in games or in training.
