Things that are undefeated in the world:

1. Love.

2. Freshly cooked pepperoni pizza.

3. Creamline Cool Smashers.

The Cool Smashers remain unblemished in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference after notching their eighth win in as many games on Thursday.

Alyssa Valdez and company made light work of the Nxled Chameleons in three sets to once again impose their might and show everyone that they're the hard-to-beat barometer.

While it's clear that the Cool Smashers are competitive against opposing teams, they're equally as competitive as teammates.

"Pinapa-work talaga kami ng coaches sa training pa lang. We have to work harder to prove our roles in the team. I think it's a good practice also  na 'yun ang ginagawa namin sa training," said Valdez. "Kung makikita niyo lang, sobrang competitive talaga nang lahat sa training. Kahit alas singko pa lang nang umaga, paunahan pa 'yan sa pre-warmup."

With the culture they've imbibed, the three-time PVL MVP, who even gets benched at times, could only stan her teammates.

"Hands down sa lahat ng players. Looking forward na mas maging healthy and mas makapag-prepare nang maganda going into our last few games of the eliminations."

Jema Galanza, who led Creamline against Nxled with 14 points, echoed Valdez's remarks and explained how they've stayed competitive the entire conference.

"Sa sobrang competitive, nag-aaway na nga kami," joked Galanza, eliciting laughter from The Phenom.

But turning serious, Galanza pointed to one key factor.

"'Yung condition din ng katawan namin, 100%, kaya nafi-feel namin talaga na walang nagre-relax. Lahat nag-e-extra (work). Kaya lumalabas talaga kung paano kami sa loob (ng laro)," said the outside hitter, who scored on 11 attacks.

The Cool Smasher will shoot for their ninth straight victory on Tuesday against the streaking Chery Tiggo Crossovers at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. Maybe have some freshly cooked pepperoni pizza after.
