It just goes to show how popular Jema has become.
Things are coming up roses for Jema Galanza.
First off, she is playing her usual fantastic volleyball and proving beyond any doubt that she is among the country’s very best.
Second, her Creamline Cool Smashers are unscathed in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference. In fact, they are looking, quite frankly, unbeatable even without Jia de Guzman, who took her talents to Japan, and Ced Domingo, who is now playing in Thailand.
Third, Galanza just hit 1 million followers on Instagram—a milestone very few Filipino volleybelles have achieved.
No wonder the effervescent, ever-smiling Cool Smasher was grinning ear-to-ear in her Instagram Story on Sunday afternoon, where she announced her social media feat.
“1M na tayo!” Galanza wrote in her Story as she circled and pointed at the “1M Followers” on her Instagram dashboard.
She also thanked her many followers and fans. Of course she did. She loves her fans that way—and that’s why they love her back just as much. Probably even more.
“Salamat po sa inyong lahat,” Galanza wrote in the same Story.
And, really, Galanza has every reason to smile about her latest achievement because it puts her in rarefied air, as only a few local volleybelles can boast having at least a million Instagram followers. Among those in that very short list, in fact, are Alyssa Valdez, Deanna Wong, and Rachel Anne Daquis.
Galanza is certainly a worthy addition.
