Fans will surely be thrilled.
The last time the Chery Tiggo Crossovers won it all in the PVL was when they conquered the 2021 Open Conference. Jaja Santiago was the team’s undisputed best player back then, as she was named both tournament MVP and Finals MVP.
Come to think of it, she might actually be the best player in local volleyball at that time.
Fast forward to today, the Crossovers have made their long-awaited return to the semifinals after securing a seat in their win over the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers last Saturday in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
Santiago was once again part of Chery Tiggo’s achievement, not as a spiker but as the team’s number one cheerleader.
Now playing in the Japan V.League for JT Marvelous, the 27-year-old middle blocker made sure to send her former team an ample amount of support and positive energy.
“Semis-bound. Finally, we are back, babies! Chery on top. Always proud teammate here. I love you all,” Jaja posted on her Instagram Story on Sunday.
The win over F2 Logistics was Chery Tiggo’s seventh straight. With an 8-1 record, the squad is tied with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans for second place in the standings.
A bulk of the Crossovers’ success comes from the contributions of their top spiker Eya Laure. She has what it takes to lead Chery Tiggo to the top, similar to how Santiago did it in 2021. When that happens, best believe that Ate Jaja will be there to cheer her on.

In the meantime, Santiago will continue to egg on the Crossovers when they face the 8-0 Creamline Cool Smashers this Tuesday.
