Ara Galang and the Chery Tiggo Crossovers aim to avoid any speed bump while approaching the final stretch of the heated semifinals race in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Riding the crest of a four-game winning surge, Chery Tiggo is showing no signs of slowing down in pursuit of a semis berth in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Crossovers overcame the tough challenge of their fellow contenders Cignal HD Spikers, pulling off a close-shave 26-24, 25-20, 26-24 sweep at the PhilSports Arena on Thursday night.
The crucial victory fueled Chery Tiggo’s ascent to solo fifth seed with a 6-2 record, while bringing down Cignal to sixth place with a 5-3 slate.
Ara Galang, who played a pivotal role with 11 points in the win, said that she and the rest of the Crossovers are refusing to take their foot off the gas pedal at this point of the conference.

“Siyempre ‘yung mindset namin, dapat hindi kami magpabaya. Tuloy lang dapat ‘yung hard work namin,” said Galang.
“Nakikita naman namin na effective 'yung ginagawa namin, kaya dapat ipagpatuloy lang namin. Kumbaga dadagdagan pa namin kung ano 'yung makita ng coaches namin.”
Midway through the season-opening conference, the Crossovers went off the winning course after suffering successive defeats to Choco Mucho and Farm Fresh.
Chery Tiggo would then turn things around with a streak-busting victory over defending champion Creamline, which served as leverage to its ongoing streak that dealt Petro Gazz, Nxled, and its recent victim Cignal critical losses.

Trailing third-seeded Petro Gazz (19 points) and fourth-seeded Creamline (18 points), both of which also hold identical 6-2 records, Galang and the Crossovers are trusting the process to secure a Final Four spot.
“‘One game at a time kami. Ngayon na tapos na kami sa Cignal, next focus namin kung sino haharapin namin. Kumbaga pinagkakatiwalaan lang namin ‘yung sistema na binibigay ng coaches sa amin. Mabuti na sumunod lang kami, pagtrabahuan lang namin. Alam namin mararating namin ‘yung goal namin pag sumunod kami at i-apply namin,” Galang shared.
Galang and the rest of the Crossovers seek to sustain their blistering momentum when they collide with the streaking PLDT High Speed Hitters on April 16, Thursday
Chery Tiggo will then take on Akari and Galeries Tower on April 20 and 25, respectively, to close out its elimination round campaign.
