Volleyball star Jovelyn Gonzaga is generating buzz after announcing her comeback to the PVL with the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
The 32-year-old last played for Cignal, representing the HD Spikers during the 2024 All-Filipino Conference. She then took a break to serve in the Philippine Army.
The Bionic Ilongga played a key role in securing back-to-back bronze medals for Cignal in the 2023 Invitational and Reinforced Conferences.
Meanwhile, her former Cignal teammate Alohi Robins-Hardy is also making headlines as she returns to Philippine volleyball, signing with the Farm Fresh Foxies for the upcoming 2024-2025 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Farm Fresh announced this exciting development on their social media on October 22.
During practice, Jovelyn and Alohi finally reconnected and shared a moment together, with Jovelyn captioning their photo, “At last @alohirobinshardy,” on her Instagram story.
Gonzaga is expected to bring her experience and leadership to the young Thunderbelles as they strive for their inaugural victory this conference.
Meanwhile, the PVL has confirmed that Alohi Robins-Hardy will need to enter the annual draft before she can compete in the league.
