Imee Hernandez has returned to training with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, gradually working toward full recovery after suffering a knee injury in the 2023 PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
After a year-long hiatus due to a knee injury, Imee Hernandez is officially back in training with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, taking it one step at a time as she works toward full recovery.
Hernandez suffered the knee injury on November 11, 2023, during the 2023 PVL Second All-Filipino Conference against the Nxled Chameleons.
As the Crossovers were battling to bounce back after losing the first set, Hernandez landed awkwardly on her left leg while attempting a spike.
Despite grimacing in pain, she initially refused to be stretchered out of the venue, opting instead to walk toward the dugout. However, she had to be carried off midway, marking the beginning of her arduous recovery journey.
Now, after months of rehabilitation, Hernandez is back in training, focusing on regaining strength and form.

With her return to practice, the Crossovers and their fans are hopeful that Hernandez will soon reclaim her spot on the court and contribute to the team’s ongoing campaign in the 2024-25 All-Filipino campaign.
The former UST standout will join Chery Tiggo’s loaded middle blocker options alongside team captain Aby Maraño, Cza Carandang, Seth Rodriguez, and newly signed Risa Sato.
While a definite timeline for her full comeback remains uncertain, her presence in training is already a positive sign for Chery Tiggo’s future aspirations.
