Veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan Villarete has officially joined the Creamline Cool Smashers ahead of their 2025 AVC Women's Champions League stint.
The Creamline Cool Smashers have made it official.
On Saturday, April 6, the 10-time PVL champions formally welcomed veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan Villarete to their roster, confirming her addition ahead of the 2024 AVC Champions League campaign.
“Mga ka-vibes, let’s all welcome Rhea Dimaculangan Villarete sa Creamline Cool Smashers!” the team wrote. “A multi-awarded setter na magbibigay sa atin ng good vibes! We are so happy to have you here Rhea, and we're looking forward na mapanood kang maglaro with the team!”
The post comes after Dimaculangan was spotted in Creamline practice gear in an Instagram story shared by team veteran Michele Gumabao.
Now, the reunion becomes official as the former UAAP champion and PSL MVP joins forces once again with her former teammates from the Petron Blaze Spikers—Bernadeth Pons and Denden Lazaro-Revilla—and national team co-star Alyssa Valdez.
Dimaculangan, who last played for the PLDT High Speed Hitters before stepping away from pro volleyball to focus on newlywed life, brings not only experience but also calm veteran presence to Creamline’s setting core, currently led by Kyle Negrito.
With the AVC tournament set from April 20 to 27, Dimaculangan's arrival adds another layer of depth and stability to an already stacked Cool Smashers squad aiming for international glory.
The Cool Smashers are pitted in Group A of the AVC Champions League, where they will go up against Kazakhstan's Zhetysu VC and Jordan's Al-Nassr Club at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
