F2 Logistics found a way once more to hand Creamline its first loss in the conference.
Another classic match transpired between the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the Creamline Cool Smashers.
It took five close sets before a winner was declared, and yet again, it was the Cargo Movers winning the battle as they handed Creamline’s first loss in the conference—like a replay of the 2022 Reinforced Conference.
Catching up for most of the match, F2 seemingly always found a way to claw their way back and snatch the set and later on the victory.
“It feels like ayaw talaga nilang ibigay 'yung laban which is how it should be in all teams, so I’m really very happy for this win and hopefully madala namin siya for the next few games,” said coach Regine Diego.
Down 12-14 in the fifth and deciding set, the Cargo Movers found a way to tie things up and score the next two points to win the match. F2’s team captain, Aby Maraño, tied the game at 14-14, which was then followed up by a huge block by outside hitter Kianna Dy to give the lead to F2. Middle blocker Ivy Lacsina then ended the match with a clutch service ace.
“Tatlo lang 'yung sinasabi ko. Isa, atin 'to, walang papayag, at tsaka tibay ng loob. Paulit-ulit 'yun as in paulit-ulit 'yun hanggang sa mamaos na lang ako ngayon,” said Maraño.
But the spotlight of the night belonged to F2’s newest member, Myla Pablo, as she delivered once more for the team, scoring 27 points on 22 attacks and 5 blocks.
While all the praises was on Pablo, she likewise gave the credit to her teammates who did their part as well in the victory.
“‘Yung puntos naman ay puntos ng lahat talaga kasi lahat naman pinaghirapan namin and hindi naman mananalo ang isa kung wala 'yung mga kasama po namin sa loob,” said Pablo.
As both teams went toe-to-toe every single set, Diego said that it seemingly just went in the favor of the Cargo Movers.
“Siguro, it's meant to be lang talaga na para sa amin kasi kahit parang breaks of the game, kahit balik-baliktarin mo parang sa amin pa rin talaga eh,” said Diego. “So, siyempre hindi mapupunta sa amin kung hindi rin nag-hardwork, although, grabe rin 'yung winork ng kalaban namin. I respect them for that, but siguro this time mas gusto namin.”
