Bella Belen gets creative in essay after Season 85 heartbreak
UAAP

Gone are the tears and frustration for Bella Belen after the NU Lady Bulldogs settled for a runner-up finish in the UAAP Season 85 women's volleyball tournament, where they bowed to the De La Salle Lady Spikers in the finals.

The desire to win, nonetheless, dominates the street of Jhocson as members of the volleyball squad vow to bounce back strong. Belen included.

The former Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player voiced out her thoughts through social media. The NU ace, however, took a different route in submitting her Facebook essay.

She started with a simple but definitive statement, “COMEBARK SEASON STARTS NOW,” an obvious wordplay signifying their goal for Season 86.

It's just thatvirtually nothing else followed that opening sentence.

In true Belen fashion, she joked saying that her teammates have already said everything that needs to be said.

Besides, she has already poured her brain cells editing the photos that came with her Facebook post.

Just look at the creativity here:

She ended her post with a spiel inspired by beauty pageants.

“I am Mhicaela Belen of National University, Manila, jersey no. 4, 20 years old, Philippines,” she wrote.

The sophomore Lady Bulldog was crucial in NU’s finals run this season as she carried the load on offense for the team.

Expect Belen and the rest of the NU squad to go all out for revenge, especially when they face the De La Salle Lady Spikers next season.
