'Tiwala lang': Rey Remogat sets new career-high as UE outlasts FEU in OT

UAAP

When it rains, it defintely pours for Rey Remogat.

Remogat gave that idiomatic expression a whole new meaning as the shifty guard dropped a career-high 34 points in the UE Red Warriors' 87-86 overtime win over FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament on Sunday.

Asked about his explosion after the match at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the bucket-getter had a simple explanation.

Indeed, the UE star, who also had six rebounds and eight assists, didn’t force things and tried to involve his teammates.

Abdul Sawat added 20 points, six rebounds, and five assists for the Red Warriors, who are looking to keep their Final Four bid alive. Precious Momowei chipped in five points and 15 boards.

Remogat ultimately attributed the win to his teammates.

Both UE and FEU jump right back to action on Wednesday, with UE set to face the league-leading UP Fighting Maroons and FEU going up against the second-running NU Bulldogs.
