Harold Alarcon has been winning hearts of fans as one of the standouts for the UP Fighting Maroons.
The veteran wingman has embraced being a leader of the squad, while also providing key contributions on both ends in UAAP Season 86 .
Just check out his sweet stroke against the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the first round:
Apparently, he also knows how to dish out the sweet talk, as he displayed his charm in an interview with UPBEAT.
Asked regarding the food that he likes to eat the most, Alarcon replied, "Ano pong gusto niyong tikman?"
Female host: "Ay wow. Sinigang puwede?"
Alarcon: "Puwede po."
Female host: "Kailan?"
Alarcon: "Now na."
But really, Alarcon said the favorite thing he likes to eat is chicken inasal.
"Napaparami rice ko dun," he shared.
Spoken like a true Silay native!
The charm was turned on once again when asked regarding his favorite Bisaya phrase.
"Ambot simo," Alarcon replied.
Asked what it meant, the guard responded coyly, "Ingat palagi."
The host laughed, "Niloloko mo ko!"
"Ewan ko sa 'yo," he clarified.
"Ba't 'yun 'yung favorite mo?" she asked.
"Ambot simo," Alarcon replied in jest.
Prompted regarding his favorite English phrase, the guard then spoke in perfect American slang: "Daaamn boy!"
One fan couldn't help but be impressed with his accents.
"The range of 'ambot sa imo' to 'daaamn boy'," the fan commented.
In all seriousness though, Alarcon thanked UP fans for hyping them up all the way to an 11-2 record ahead of their final elimination round game this Sunday against the NU Bulldogs.
"Binibigyan niyo kami ng energy tuwing naririnig namin kayo sa crowd," he said.
The game against NU will be a critical one for the Fighting Maroons, as they seek to lock up the twice-to-beat advantage.
It will be aired live at 4 p.m. on One Sports, the UAAP Varsity Channel, and the Pilipinas Live app.
