A day after topping the Bar exams, the University of Santo Tomas comes on top once again as the UST Growling Tigresses put an end to the NU Lady Bulldogs' reign in the UAAP women's basketball tournament.
Trailing by double digits in the do-or-die game, UST stole the crown in crunch time with a getaway layup from Angelina Villasin for the 71-69 victory.
The jaw-dropping set of events set X (formerly Twitter) into frenzy.

That 4th quarter run is INSANE! Ang lala p**a!" @girunnie said.
"Kung tutok siguro ako sa women's basketball, na-depress na ko. Grabe 'yung 61-47 lead na naging 69-71. 8-24 run by UST to take the championship,"@lezzgoNationalU pointed out the insane UST run that snapped NU's seven-year title streak.
Even Meralco Bolts and Gilas Pilipinas guard Chris Newsome chimed in.
"Congrats UST Women's Basketball Team!" Newsome said.
As for the Thomasians, the recent wins will only make the Paskuhan festivities special this year.
