Owa Retamar looks to end his UAAP career on a winning note as the NU Bulldogs go for a rare men's volleyball four-peat.
It was Thursday, May 9, when Owa Retamar finally donned his toga for National University, having completed his Financial Management degree.
Just a couple of days later, the 22-year-old setter traded his toga for a jersey and once again orchestrated the Bulldogs to a dominant playoff win, this time in Game 1 over the University of Santo Tomas for the UAAP Season 86 Finals. The victory allowed to inch closer to its historic four-peat goals in UAAP men's volleyball.
The reigning Best Setter finished with 24 excellent sets, to go along with five points on two attacks and three blocks. It was a masterful Owa game, to say the least.
After achieving his family's goal of college graduation, Retamar now hopes to also help the Bulldogs and NU community achieve theirs.
With just one win left needed to secure the UAAP title, Rematar looks to go all out in closing out the Golden Spikers in Game 2.
Game 2 of the Season 86 men's volleyball finals will be on Wednesday, May 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay at 2:00 p.m.
