The UP Fighting Maroons are off to a blistering 4-0 start in UAAP Season 87, with Quentin Millora-Brown proving to be a key contributor.

In their latest outing against the FEU Tamaraws, the 6'10" forward delivered a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 13 rebounds while shooting an efficient 5-of-7 from the field.

His standout performance has been crucial to UP’s early-season success, but Millora-Brown remains laser-focused on the team’s long-term aspirations.

“We’ve just been trying to get better every game,” Millora-Brown said during the post game press conference. “I think all of us know we have more to reach for. It’s still early—this is only the fourth game.”

“We have a lot more that we want to achieve this season, so I think all of us are just trying to stay grounded and understand that this win is just one of many we want to have,” he added.

Despite their perfect record, the Fil-Am big man emphasized the importance of staying level-headed and committed to improvement.

This mindset is deeply rooted in the culture instilled by head coach Goldwin Monteverde, whose emphasis on consistency drives the team.

“Coach Gold always starts every practice by telling us to just be consistent today. It’s not really about having amazing days; it’s about being consistent every day. Bring the same energy, bring the same attention to the details,” shared Millora-Brown.

With their eyes on the championship, the Fighting Maroons have no plans of letting their early success get to their heads.

For Millora-Brown and his teammates, it’s all about continuing the grind and pushing each other toward their ultimate goal—bringing another title to Diliman.

Despite being in his first season in the UAAP, Millora-Brown has emerged as a steadying presence both on and off the court in a talent-laden Fighting Maroons squad.

“When guys fall a little bit back, we all try to bring each other back into the huddle,” said Millora-Brown.

Up next for the Fighting Maroons will be the Adamson Soaring Falcons on Saturday, September 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
